Confronting your Goliath-1 Samuel 17:48

Confronting your Goliath-1 Samuel 17:48 “When the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet the Philistine.”

What is the Goliath in your nation?

Is it Islamic terrorism, Abortion, LGBT agenda in our education system against our children, Brexit in the UK, Hollywood (Weinstein), and Justice System?

What is the “Goliath in your life today that is not allowing you to reach your full potentials?

What is the “Goliath” that robs you of God’s destiny for your life?

What is the “Goliath” that robs you of divine health that the Lord has paid a high price for already?

What is the “Goliath” that robs you and your family of God’s intention for the family?

Goliaths are giants metaphorically that seeks to disrupt or abort purpose, destiny of nations, family, health and divine order of God.

For some of us sin could be our “Goliath” and for some it might just be apathy and these are self inflicted “Goliaths”

For some of us the enemy has taken root so much so that we become familiar/comfortable with it that we no longer fight or resist the enemy in that area of our life.

However for David, Goliath represented more than just the individual, he was a giant that seeks to defeat the entire nation of Israel, a covenant and chosen people of God! 1 Samuel 17:8-9. Goliath was the champion for the Philistines and winning the battle against Israel could only mean one thing and that is God is no longer the GOD OF ISRAEL and who He says He is.

David knew His God would never fail as He has never failed him, and this is the confidence that David had to be able to confront Goliath. The whole nation of Israel was fearful, but for ONE MAN, David who had a revelation and a confidence in the Lord, which is all you need. 1 Samuel 17:37-47.

We must like David always remember “Whose we are” and knowing He is well able to keep us and most importantly God has never lost any battle, and if we understand the principle of His word that indeed “the battle belongs to me-1 Samuel 17:45-47”, then we can be rest assured the battle is won already.

We need to play our part in the battle though! 2 Chronicles 20:15,17,21-22

And to the Gatekeepers I say this; the question is “Is there not a cause” for your nations- 1 Samuel 17:29 “And David said, “What have I done now? Is there not a cause?”

The answer is Yes, hence why David never contemplated any other option but to defeat the Goliath that stands against the purposes of God for a nation or a covenant people; Israel.

I encourage and admonish you today that it’s time to run towards your Goliath in order to defeat him/it!

Remember the Lord is with you in the battle!
