He is Lord in the Storm and the storms obey Him..!

He is Lord in the Storm also….!
Matthew 14:22-33
“Immediately he made the disciples get into the boat and go before him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone, but the boat by this time was a long way from the land, beaten by the waves, for the wind was against them. And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea. But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said, “It is a ghost!” and they cried out in fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.” And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” He said, “Come.” So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

Jesus ordered His disciples into a boat that He knew was heading into a storm. The KJV Bible says He “constrained [them] to get into a ship” and some put it as “He made them”, so we see a situation where it wasn’t exactly optional for the disciples to stay behind. For some of us today we might actually wonder why Jesus would put them through that ordeal especially as He knew they were going to encounter a storm!
Where was Jesus? He was in the mountains overlooking the sea, watching the disciples and praying for them in the storm.

He knew they had to go through this test of their unwavering faith in Him. Jesus wanted them to learn the greatest lesson they would ever learn—the lesson of how to recognize Jesus in the storm! Will you be prevented from recognizing him by the clamour of the storm? Jesus made Himself known and reassured them, yet they still doubted.

They had recognized Jesus as “the Christ, the very Son of God.” They had known Him as a teacher. They knew He had the words of eternal life. They knew He had power over all the works of the devil, but they did not know Him as Lord in the storm.

Jesus was on the mountain praying.
Where are you positioned during the storms of life? Are you praying or are you being tossed to and fro by the storm?

You need to be certain where you are positioned, who you are and whose you are!!! Your position in the Spirit, your identity and your GOD!

With the current uncertainty in the nations, be rest assured we have an anchor. God is in control, He is with you and He will never leave you nor forsake you and that’s His promise to you. HE is a promise keeper.

Psalm 107:29-30 “He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven.”

Let us trust Him as Lord in every storm of life!
