So God hasn’t answered yet? Stand!

So God hasn’t answered yet? Stand!

Greetings to you in the wonderful name of Jesus!

Many of us are getting weary of what seems like unanswered prayers. However what some are experiencing is not so much unanswered prayers but has to do more with the “timing”.

Ephesians 6:13

“Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.”

The Bible states we should stand firm after having done all. What does “all” refers to here?

  • You have prayed with faith
  • You have done your bit e.g. if you are looking for a job, you have submitted your applications to the right places. If it’s a contract you have submitted your bid before the deadline etc.
  • You have thanked the Lord for the answers
  • You have believed
  • You have made yourself ready if you are believing God for a spouse

This is by no means what “all” refers to but I’m certain these are very much enough to “stand” on.However what I’m trying to highlight today is what it means to take a “stand” after having done all.

For some of us we believe that we don’t have to do anything anymore and to stand means that’s the end of the process and you simply fold your arms and wait for the answers.

Some of us actually give up and become resentful of God because you have done all and yet no answers, while some have simply lost the faith and in unbelief. Regardless of your position there’s hope.

How do we stand?

  1. Remain joyful in the process of taking a “Stand”-Psalms 68:3, Psalms 98:4
  2. Remember the timing is the Lord’s and He makes all things beautiful at the right time. Ecclesiastes 3:11
  3. Praise God while “standing”-Psalms 100
  4. Persevere in faith – Matthew 17:20
  5. Align your request with the word and declare it believing-Jeremiah 23:29
  6. Keep up Hope-Job 13:15
  7. Get a prayer partner to come alongside you- Matthew 18:19

My point is the time of standing after having done all is not a quiet time but a time to persevere, character building and an undying, resolute faith of knowing if the Lord has promised He is able to bring it to pass.

Are you still standing today? Then there’s hope and keep praising Him with a heart of expectation for your answers because God is faithful.

Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.”
