Cry out to the Lord– Joel 1:14 “Consecrate a fast; call a solemn assembly. Gather the elders and all the inhabitants of the land to the house of the LORD your God, and cry out to the LORD. We are living in very interesting times and as Gatekeepers we need to remain watchful in our nations. I read this worrying headline yesterday in the Sunday Mail: Don’t call pregnant patients ‘mothers’: Doctors are banned from using the word over fears it will upset those who are transgender Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4167632/Don-t-call-pregnant-patients-mothers.html#ixzz4XEUXdKli Conservative MP Philip Davies described the guidance as ‘completely ridiculous’, adding: ‘If you can’t call a pregnant woman an expectant mother, then what is the world coming to?’ I believe this may just bw a tip of the iceberg of what is coming in our nations and the absurdity of forcing everyone to conform to an ungodly agenda. Some of our nations especially in the West have totally lost the moral compass. One can describe them as approaching or being in a state of apostasy- Judges 17:6– “In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” BUT we have a KING and the King has values that we need to uphold! I’m calling on Gatekeepers and all who call on the name of the Lord to take a stand in the place of prayer and declare the counsel of the Lord for their nations. And also be an effective witness by being the light. Matthew 5:14-15 Will you take a stand for righteousness in your nation? – Proverbs 14:34– “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” This battle can only be won in the realm of the Spirit and as...
Walking in Obedience- 1 Peter 1:14...
Walking in obedience- 1 Peter 1:14 “As obedient children, do not be conformed to the passions of your former ignorance,” One thing that we need more of is “Obedience” and I want to believe we are no longer “ignorant” as believers. I was studying Genesis 26 again and some verses jumped at me, which I felt to share this week. “[4] I will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and will give to your offspring all these lands. And in your offspring all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, [5] because Abraham obeyed my voice and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.” The scripture highlights the benefits of obedience even to subsequent generations. We know that Isaac benefited from his father Abraham’s obedience to the Lord. The fruit of Abraham’s obedience makes us recipients of the blessings today by faith. We are told that Jesus was obedient unto death. Philippians 2:8 “And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.” I wouldn’t want to imagine a scenario where Jesus did not go to the cross and I don’t think anyone of us would want to imagine that also. Jesus prayed if it was possible not to go to the cross, but thanks be to God that is one prayer the Lord did not answer. Hebrews 5:7-8 “In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered.” He learnt obedience through His suffering.” Mark 14:36- “And he...
KNOWING HIM AND THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT...
KNOWING HIM AND THE POWER OF HIS MIGHT- Philippians 3:10 “that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,” I trust you all had a good and restful holiday and ready with the zeal of the Lord to do great things for Him this year. One of the things that the Lord has impressed upon my Spirit for this NEW YEAR (2017) is the conviction that the Lord is about to manifest Himself in a very profound way. This year will be a season of His power, glory and authority in a greater way. We can only partake in this when we spend time in His presence and He shows us the way to walk during this season. The Word must be married with the Spirit for us to be effective this year. As we progress in the New Year the question I ask is “Do you know Him”? John 1:10- “He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him.” I bet most people will answer in the affirmative. However do you really know Him to the point of walking in His power and authority and in the working of miracles? I believe we need to see more of this in the church today to be effective in our societies. There was a time when John the Baptist did not know Jesus intimately. He had received a word about the coming one – John 1:30-31 “This is he of whom I said, ‘After me comes a man who ranks before me, because he was before me.’ I myself did not know him, but for this purpose I came baptizing with water,...
My story today….!...
My story today! I felt a need to share my story of what the Holy Spirit highlighted to me today and I hope it blesses someone. I’m presently in Lusaka, Zambia visiting our Orphanage. I have gone through a most horrific time the previous day with my flights and connections. Five hours of delay in taking off and a further nine hours to make my connections from Johannesburg. I am still reflecting on why the Lord allowed this to happen. I woke up early today and decided to take a walk to the Phone Shop to get myself connected locally so I can get in touch with my family back home. This is my story On my way back from the Mall, I was tempted to call a Taxi as I was tired, but decided not to as I also felt that the walk back to the Guest House would be beneficial health wise, so I decided to walk. But not long afterwards about one third of the way the clouds suddenly turned grey, then pitch black, so I increased my pace and started praying that the Lord would let me get home before the rain starts, but it wasn’t so as a few minutes afterwards it was as if my prayer did the exact opposite of what I prayed for and believed for J. I hid under the tree for a few minutes but it wasn’t going to hold so I decided to step out fully in the rain knowing I was probably going to lose my shoes but more concerned about my bag which had a lot of documents in it. Notwithstanding I stepped into the torrential downpour and started walking and within a few minutes a kind hearted man stopped...
Learning to pause between our God given assignment!...
Learning to pause between our God given assignment– Genesis 24:21 “The man gazed at her in silence to learn whether the LORD had prospered his journey or not.” As as we respond in obedience to any God given assignment it’s always good to pause, checking with God to ensure you are on the right track. The story of Eliezer highlights this point very clearly. He received an instruction from Abraham to go and look for a wife for Isaac from his kinsmen. Abraham did not want Isaac his son to marry a Canaanite woman because he reasoned they could take him away from worshipping the Lord. Immediately he received the instruction from Abraham, Eliezer prayed for success – Genesis 24:12-14 “And he said, “O LORD, God of my master Abraham, please grant me success today and show steadfast love to my master Abraham. Behold, I am standing by the spring of water, and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water. Let the young woman to whom I shall say, ‘Please let down your jar that I may drink,’ and who shall say, ‘Drink, and I will water your camels’—let her be the one whom you have appointed for your servant Isaac. By this I shall know that you have shown steadfast love to my master.” Notice that Eliezer was quite specific when praying to God. This shows that sometimes we have to be precise about what we want exactly in our prayers. The bible tells us that before he finished praying Rebekah showed up and responded as he had requested in his prayers. V15-20. Genesis 24:21 “The man gazed at her in silence to learn whether the LORD had prospered his journey or not.” Why did he do...
JEHU IS KING- 2 Kings 9:1-13...
JEHU IS KING–2 Kings 9:1-13 Following a Sunday’s service at This Present House, where the Apostolic Overseer Dr Tony Rapu preached on Jehu, I was prompted to dig deeper on the book of Kings to get fresh understanding from the Lord. From this I bring you a prophetic word using the example of the anointing of Jehu as King of Israel. Two important points impressed upon me as I read were, firstly that Jehu should have been made King much earlier and secondly Jehu was not aware he was meant to be King even though he had been chosen by the Lord. If we take a look at 1 Kings 19:15-17 where the Lord specifically commanded Elijah to anoint Hazael as King for Syria, Jehu as King over Israel and Elisha anointed to take his place. As you read carefully, notice that Elijah for whatever reason best known to him disobeyed God and did not anoint Hazael, nor Jehu and even Elisha who received his anointing did so through sheer dogged determination. Looking at the body of Christ today, there are many “Elijahs” who have not anointed God’s elect even though the Lord has commanded it. Though you may not know it, you are already God’s chosen! The danger of you being where you are and not knowing you are to be King is real and of course, your “Elijah” whoever that may be have not anointed you for your destiny. Jehu did not know he was to be anointed as King even though he was God’s chosen instrument. God wants to release you for your next assignment in this season as a “chosen vessel” and I want to prophesy to you this week that you will be located by one of the “sons...
#Chutzpah -Boldness and Persistence with Sheer Audacity -Matthew 15:22-28...
#Chutzpah -Boldness and Persistence with sheer audacity – Matthew 15:22-28 I learnt a new word that made an impression on me during my last few days while speaking at a conference in Jerusalem; The word was “Chutzpah” pronounced “Hootzpah”, which reminded me of the Canaanite woman. “Chutzpah” is a word that connotes cheeky audacity with sheer guts; cheekily bold v27 Through her persistence, boldness and even the sheer audacity to challenge Jesus, without which she would have not got what she needed from Jesus, which was for daughter to be healed. In this instance the “disciples” were an obstacle to her receiving as they tried to prevent her from getting close to the “healer”. v23 Though a pagan, the woman clearly knew where the answer was to her request, even though Jesus put her faith to the test. Maybe today there is an obstacle that prevents you from receiving answers to your prayers, you have to be bold and be persistent in your faith to receive from Jesus. It’s time to exercise #Chutzpah and challenge the Lord at His word. Lawyers have a way of arguing their case by referring to past cases, which forms a reference point for the present, so it is with our Lord our Saviour. His word and who HE is, becomes our reference point for answers to our prayers. In this instance the healer, Jesus, was bound to heal and the Canaanite woman must have had a reference point of past miracles of Jesus healing the sick. This made her to believe for what seems like impossible. As you begin this week, what is it that you have believed the Lord for and it seems there are many obstacles to reaching Him? Be bold and be persistent in your...
SEATED WITH CHRIST-Ephesians 2:6...
SEATED WITH CHRIST-Ephesians 2:6 Ephesians 1:19-23 “and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.” The above scripture tells us where Jesus Christ is positioned at the moment. He is seated on the right hand of the Father interceding for us day and night. Thank God for that! But where are you seated? Ephesians 2:6 “and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,” The Bible makes it abundantly clear that we have been raised up with Christ and seated with Him in the heavenly places. What an interesting and very strategic place to be to pray! It’s an awesome privilege to be interceding with Christ in a position of power and authority from the heavenly places. The exciting thing about this is that you are not only praying the will of the Father for yourself and your circumstance but also operating far above all powers and principalities. It is important to note that God knows what we need before we ask, and if you are in agreement with His will, then that to me is a guarantee for an answered prayer. To the Gatekeepers and the saints of...
Praise-Strategic Weapon of Warfare!...
Praise as a Strategic Weapon of Warfare! 2 Chronicles 20:21 “And when he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed those who were to sing to the LORD and praise him in holy attire, as they went before the army, and say, “Give thanks to the LORD, for his steadfast love endures forever.” Does it seem like heaven has been silent to your cries? It’s time to praise! For some, praise might not be what you feel like doing now, but Praise is a powerful strategy that the enemy cannot stand. It sends confusion to the camp of the enemies. Psalm 8:2 (NIV) “Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.” As I woke up this morning I had a strong impression to change the original blog I had written, as I believe the Lord would have us praise HIM. Praise is one of the most powerful strategies of warfare for the times we are in so whatever the circumstances begin to lift up your voice in praise and worship. 2 Chronicles 20:21-23 “And when he had taken counsel with the people, he appointed those who were to sing to the LORD and praise him in holy attire, as they went before the army, and say, “Give thanks to the LORD, for his steadfast love endures forever.” And when they began to sing and praise, the LORD set an ambush against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah, so that they were routed. For the men of Ammon and Moab rose against the inhabitants of Mount Seir, devoting them to destruction, and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir,...
Season of Encouragement- Romans 15:1-7...
Season of Encouragement– Romans 15:1-7 “We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. For Christ did not please himself, but as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me.” For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” My words will be few today. Allow the above scriptures to minister to you as you reflect on it. My aim today is to encourage you all to be an encourager during these difficult times. There are numerous things that are very challenging for many of us right now. Jesus who knew the challenge that laid ahead of Peter prayed for him and admonished him to strengthen others. Luke 22:31-32 “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.” But as we find strength to encourage ourselves, let also the strong ones encourage the weak so that we are all strengthened together in HIM. David encouraged himself in the Lord and encouraged his people too. 1 Samuel 30:6 The number eight signifies a new beginning, meaning a new order...
TAKING A POSITION IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE...
TAKING A POSITION IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE- Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” With all the upheaval that is being witnessed around the world, one can surmise that the enemy is waging war in the nations. Many believers are confused about what to do, while some are frankly clueless to be honest. I have witnessed many Christians trying to make sense of these wars in meetings, more meetings and debates. But the truth is, our often very civil dialogues have absolutely no impact and therefore not surprising, the enemy is pretty much not disarmed? With what I have seen so far I would say our nations are clearly under serious attack on many fronts, which is giving ammunitions to the Far Right ideology rearing it’s ugly head in many nations as seen in Austria, USA, France, UK etc. One need not engage the enemy in the physical as he resides in the heavenly places with only small demons to distract us on earth, who have been very effective so far! Colossians 3:1 “If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.” This scripture below highlights that the right hand of God is His hand of power Luke 22:69 “But from now on the Son of Man shall be seated at the right hand of the power of God.” The battle we are facing is a spiritual one that must be fought aggressively with our entire Spiritual Armoury. We need to elevate our minds and every sensory perception to the position...
Rise and Have No Fear- Matthew 17:6-8...
RISE AND HAVE NO FEAR– Matthew 17:6-8 “When the disciples heard this, they fell on their faces and were terrified. But Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Rise, and have no fear.” And when they lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only. The above scripture gives a partial account of what happened to the disciples on the mount of transfiguration. We see the disciples being afraid of what they have just seen (Jesus being transfigured) and the reassurance from Jesus, for them to rise and have no fear! The disciples then had to lift up their eyes to enable them see nothing else but Jesus. What is your focus today? a) Are you focusing on HIM so much so that you see no other thing but Jesus? This was the most important thing that happened to the disciples and probably changed them forever. By asking you to focus solely on Him is by no means a denial of any of your circumstances but rather that Jesus is above it all. In the midst of your circumstances I’m encouraging you to “look upon Jesus” the author and finisher of your faith and have a heart of expectation and trust in Him to help you in all those situations. b) John 10:8-9 (CJB) “All those who have come before me have been thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn’t listen to them. 9 I am the gate; if someone enters through me, he will be safe and will go in and out and find pasture.” Jesus is the Gate and the revelation is simple, that if He is the Gate you only have to look at this in the perspective of the Spirit that you can have access. As we go into this...
POST EU REFERENDUM -Way Forward- Habakkuk 1:5...
POST EU REFERENDUM -Way Forward– Habakkuk 1:5 “Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told.” I remember on the morning of the vote, the only prayer I could offer was for God’s mercy. That whatever the outcome let His mercy prevail over the UK as He remains our God. Also throughout the election I had asked for His will to be done. I believe this is not just a win or lose vote, but about the destiny of our Nation. The Referendum was conducted via a genuine democratic procedure, with a huge turnout by 72{d1e2c760763fa7ce5ec6ebff4be1053441992b57dd6064ed979b6723dfa2e06e} of the population, which is more than even the general election. The ensuing result from the process was clearly the will of the majority so those calling for a re-run, have no idea what could possibly be the consequences of such a call. You cannot just simply scuttle the will of 17 million voters who voted to leave. That is democracy! Every UK citizen of voting age had the opportunity to participate in that process. Since the result we have been witnessing the fallout from the referendum vote, with David Cameron resigning his position as Prime Minister, Boris Johnson stepping aside from being the leader and just recently Nigel Farage who has championed this cause for over 20 years stepping aside from politics. These unexpected after effects may be a surprise to many of us but certainly not a surprise to God. Isaiah 46:10 “declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose,” On another front we are seeing the true colours of the...
THE GATEKEEPER-Genesis 22:17...
Genesis 22:17 says that we can possess the gates of our enemies, so that the Church can influence the destiny of nations. This is not possible without first winning the battle in the spiritual realm, and because of the lack of gatekeepers, the gates of our cities and nations have slipped out of our hands. Today, we need another generation willing to step into the spiritual authority that God has purposed for the gatekeepers. In this NEW prophetic book by Iheringius, David Muyiwa Adeola teaches the principles and lifestyle of a gatekeeper, so that you will be able to bring a prayer revolution into your personal life and your church, and real transformation in your...
The “Double P”-Promotion and Persecution...
The “double P”-Promotion and Persecution– Have you recently been promoted and had all hell break loose? Or are you about to be promoted? Then you need to read this! Daniel 6:3 “Then this Daniel became distinguished above all the other high officials and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him. And the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.” Daniel had an excellent Spirit and he was initially promoted to the third in line to the throne and further prospect of being set ruler over the entire kingdom. THE ENEMY’S PLOT With the King’s plan of promotion for Daniel also came a plan of opposition from the enemy. The enemy’s plan was to challenge Daniel at the core of his identity and call as a Gatekeeper and prayer warrior. This is similar for us today as believers being challenged in our faith in every facet of society. Often when God wants to promote and elevate you, Satan also knows about it, and throws in all kinds of plots to frustrate and stop it. Promotion and opposition oftentimes go hand in hand for the believer. Daniel 6:4 “Then the high officials and the satraps sought to find a ground for complaint against Daniel with regard to the kingdom, but they could find no ground for complaint or any fault, because he was faithful, and no error or fault was found in him.” Daniel 6:6-7 “Then these high officials and satraps came by agreement to the king and said to him, “O King Darius, live forever! All the high officials of the kingdom, the prefects and the satraps, the counselors and the governors are agreed that the king should establish an ordinance and enforce an injunction, that whoever makes petition to any god...
STAND, WATCH and LISTEN– Habakkuk 2:1...
STAND, WATCH and LISTEN– Habakkuk 2:1 –“I will take my stand at my watchpost and station myself on the tower, and look out to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer concerning my complaint.” More than ever before we need to stand at our watch as Gatekeepers and wait on the Lord for revelation to hear what He has to say. There is a need for all of us to exercise restraint in what we put out in the public arena, unless it is Holy Spirit inspired. Many Global events have caught our attention in recent months, namely the American elections with the controversial impending nomination of Donald Trump as the Republicans candidate. In Asia we have an election in the Philippines, while the nation of Brazil is in turmoil and in the process of impeaching the President. In London we have just elected the first Muslim Mayor that has resulted in a lot of mixed feelings in the City. These are but a few of the many situations that require our urgent intercessions. Furthermore in the UK we are preparing for the EU referendum in a matter of weeks and Gatekeepers need to engage in prophetic intercession for God’s will to be done. The nation is at a “Tipping Point” regarding the referendum debate that has divided the nation that makes one wonder about our continued membership of the Europe institution. Sometimes we feel helpless but there are things we can do. It is our duty as Gatekeepers and believers to watch and pray for our nations. 1) Spiritual warfare -we are at war for the soul of our Nations Ephesians 6:12-13 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities,...
It’s a new day-Exodus 12:2...
It’s a new day-Exodus 12:2 “This month shall be for you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year for you.” This is a follow up to my last blog, which hopefully serves as a further encouragement to everyone that read the last one. If you didn’t read the last blog here’s a link to it please endeavour to read it. The Passover ended over the weekend. This is a Feast that is kept in remembrance of how the Lord delivered the children of Israel from bondage in Egypt- Exodus 12:14 “This day shall be for you a memorial day, and you shall keep it as a feast to the LORD; throughout your generations, as a statute forever, you shall keep it as a feast.” We are currently in spring and on the way to transitioning into summer and I want to agree and believe with everyone that things will begin to “blossom” for everyone who is waiting on God for various things in their lives in Jesus mighty name. You have now “passed over” to the new season for your lives. Be encouraged you with the main scripture verse above to believe the Lord for the impossible this month and receive the strength to push through in faith to receive those things which had no movement in the past seasons. Many are weary from the delay in the manifestation of what they are believing for. I want to encourage you not to give up but rather to rise up again with renewed strength and faith knowing that He who has promised remains faithful even to the end. Isaiah 40:29-31 “He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall...
Time to Passover- Psalm 107:13...
Time to Passover– Psalm 107:13 “Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.” As we enter the season of Passover, let us believe for a passing over from where we are into a new dimension of our destiny. Passover is an experience that each one of us must have as we journey through life. That is when the power of death and captivity is broken and there is an entering into our destiny. Passover was a time that the Lord revealed His power through the release of the children of Israel from captivity, destroyed their enemies and delivered them. For as many that are going through some form of trials and testing, I declare to you a release from it and an entry into your destiny and the next dimension of His plan and purpose for your life. Your trials and testing have now come to an end. Believe it and receive it. Remember Israel’s 430 years of bondage/captivity in Egypt ended overnight during Passover-Exodus 12:40-42 (note V42). The Lord watched over them all through the night. Begin to praise your way into deliverance as you transition into your promised land. Exodus 12:2 “This month shall be for you the beginning of months. It shall be the first month of the year for you.”...
Focusing on the Main thing...
Focusing on the Main thing- Hebrews 10:14 “For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.” This is a word for all Gatekeepers out there and every believer in Jesus Christ. Have you ever wondered why Jesus was arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane, a place where he earnestly prayed for God to remove the cup (Mark 14:36)? Arrested right where He sought for deliverance! What would your response be if after you’ve prayed earnestly for God’s deliverance and what you got instead were the opposite? What motivated Jesus to remain steadfast in spite of the obvious betrayal by Judas, the abandonment by His disciples and even by God His father? The answer though simple is quite profound; eternity was uppermost on His mind, and complete obedience in order to fulfill the Father’s pre-ordained purpose for humanity- Hebrews 12:2– “looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” The Cross of Christ represents the greatest suffering in history. Jesus not only suffered physically but also experienced God’s just wrath in taking upon Himself the sin of the world. Still, the promise of future reward and joy gave Jesus strength to endure the suffering. Despising the shame of crucifixion, performed naked and in public, and inflicting prolonged pain on the victim, intended to cause shame as well as death. Jesus surrendered His will, His Power and His majesty so humanity could be redeemed through the shedding of His blood. Everything else was secondary and inconsequential! Do you have joy in your expectations of eternity through your prayers, even when the answers...
Praying without ceasing...
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18- “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” We cannot spend all our time on our knees, but it is possible to have a prayerful attitude at all times. This attitude is built upon acknowledging our dependence on God, realising His presence within us, and determining to obey Him fully. Then we will find it natural to pray frequent, spontaneous, short prayers. A prayerful attitude is not a substitute for regular times of prayer, but should be an outgrowth of those times. An excerpt from my book “The Gatekeeper” coming out...
